The Penn State Nittany Lions women's volleyball program has a lengthy history. It was formed in 1976 by Tom Tait, who also managed the women's team from 1976 to 1979 and was awarded a U.S. Volleyball All-Time Great Coach in 2007. Sporting their iconic blue and white uniforms, the Nittany Lions play their home games at Rec Hall on the university campus in University Park, Penn.
